As a Lombard Credit Risk Officer, you are responsible for approving and monitoring credit risks related to private banking clients. For relationship managers, you serve as a key contact person on all credit-related matters.
The objective is to understand, quantify and correctly assess credit risks in order to avoid credit losses.
IHRE AUFGABEN
• Take responsibility for all credit-relevant aspects of your own credit portfolio consisting of Swiss and international private banking clients:

Prepare credit applications; analyse and assess loan requests with regard to borrowers, guarantors, collateral for securities-backed loans, financing purpose and usage types such as cash loans, derivatives, hedging instruments, etc.; approve securities-backed loans within delegated credit authority limits (based on risk rating and limit amount)

Approve customer-specific special loan-to-value ratios

Identify, analyse and quantify credit risks

Continuously monitor approved credit decisions, identify and evaluate breaches of securities-backed lending limits, and implement appropriate measures (e.g. in case of margin calls)

Support relationship managers, especially regarding regular and complex credit limit breaches, their resolution, and new credit enquiries

Review credit documents for completeness

Perform portfolio administration tasks, including approval of fixed term loans, payment authorisations, and accurate credit documentation
• Support, advise and train assigned private banking relationship managers
• Delivery of presentations to relationship managers and team leaders
• Preparation and delivery of training sessions for credit specialists
• Contribution to credit-related projects
YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree or completed university or applied sciences education (in economics, banking, finance or law), or equivalent qualification or professional experience

Several years of professional experience in (Lombard) credit business advantageous

Familiarity with technical handling of life insurance policies (wrappers, ULIPs) considered a plus

Interest in financial markets and institutions

Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong analytical abilities

Independent, reliable and team-oriented personality with strong negotiation skills

Very good command of German and English (written and spoken); additional languages beneficial
