The business analyst B2B works within the Business Division to help improve the processes, products and systems. He/she conducts research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce these systems / processes in the division.

He/She works closely with Marketing, Products & Operations and looks at how the division operates – conducting research and analysing data to develop their knowledge – and drives the implementation of methods for the company to improve their practices and processes. This is done with the aim of helping the division to be more efficient, solve existing business problems and/or better achieve their goals.

The work of the business analyst is very closely related to the IT department. The business analysts’ solutions will involve the implementation of new, or improved, computer systems/tools, and the analyst’s role extends to familiarising the wider business with the benefits of this new technology and instructing colleagues on how it is to be used.

The Analysts will work on new business projects and be responsible for the overall delivery from A to Z which is different to the normal role of a business analyst. From analysis, definition of business requirements over process definition, testing and preparing training as well as go to market activities this covers all activities.

 

Your duties

• analyse the structure of a business, how it uses technology and what its goals are
• identify problems within a business
• communicate with senior people in organisations to find out what they hope to achieve
• formulate ways for businesses to improve, based on previous research
• recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
• persuade internal and external stakeholders of the benefits of new technology or strategies
• oversee / actively drive the implementation of new technology and systems
• monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
• run workshops and training sessions
• define and implement future solutions, business processes and business rules as well as ensure documentation
• implements the improvements from A to Z and ensures that it will be used accordingly
• supports operational teams to handle exceptions
• Perform monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports to initiate improvements
• review a variety of areas including customer care operations, sales, IT systems which impact the division
• deliver projects and improvements

 

What you bring

• Mandatory: English / French business fluent / mother language = written & oral
• German is a big plus
• Min. 3-5 years in a role as a Business Analyst; more is a real plus
• Min. 2-3 years of project management experience
• Mobile telco / fixed line telco / internet provide experience is a very big plus
• Knowledge in sales pipeline management tools, service activation tool, CRM and prospect management tool is a very big plus
• A bachelor’s degree in business-, computing- or economics

Also a plus: professional qualification with either the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or the Chartered Institute for IT (BCS), international diploma in business analysis (offered by the BCS) or the certificate of competency in business analysis (offered by the IIBA) or other helpful Masters in a similar area
