English mother-tongue teaching assistant

We are an international primary school based in Geneva. We offer a rigorous French programme with a strong emphasis on the English language from the age of 3. Our families come from a variety of international backgrounds.

 

We are currently searching for English mother tongue teaching assistants to join our team starting in mid-August 2023.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising a homogenous age group of pre-schoolers (children aged between 3 and 5 years)
• Carrying out day-to-day activities to assist the classroom teacher
• Supporting and motivating the group in their learning with commitment and compassion
• Maintaining an open and constructive exchange with parents / legal guardians
• Participating in internal and external school events

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified professional child-care assistant or children’s educator
• Be motivated and enthusiastic about working with children, demonstrating the ability to focus on the children’s interests
• Be a native English speaker with a good knowledge of French
• Be responsible and able to work autonomously showing self-initiative
• Remain open and respectful in communication and teamwork

Administrative information:

• 10 month renewable contract
