Social Worker or Socio-Educational Worker
The Les Boréales Consultation in Lausanne, a departmental unit of DP-CHUV, is looking for a social worker or a socio-educational worker for outpatient activities.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Les Boréales consultation is intended for anyone (child, adolescent, adult, elderly person) who has suffered or committed violence and/or sexual abuse within the family. It is therefore aimed at families/couples involved in violent interactions as well as families or adolescents under judicial mandate for neglect, mistreatment, or sexual abuse.
The consultation offers different types of care, such as individual, couple, and family therapies, guidance and support, home visits, and support groups.
Mission
Social activity:
- You mobilize network resources by integrating them into the therapeutic project
- You write social and socio-educational reports
- You guide the patient in their social and professional orientations
- You assist the patient in procedures for obtaining disability insurance, scholarships, etc.
Therapeutic activity:
- You participate in family co-therapies
- You develop the therapeutic project with other patient referents within the framework of their specialty
Socio-educational activity:
- You conduct home visits to ensure socio-educational follow-up with a systemic orientation
- You provide guidance and educational advice, including home visits.
Profile
- You hold a diploma as a social worker or an equivalent recognized title
- You have a basic systemic training (desired)
- You have 2 years of practice in psycho-social assistance
- You have knowledge of systemic interventions and network practice
- You have knowledge of the Vaud socio-judicial network
- You have knowledge of the social context and community resources
- You have the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and work autonomously within the framework of your specialty
- You have experience with abusive families (desired).
