Biomedical Analysis Technician at the Institute of Pathology
The Institute of Pathology of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DMLP) is looking for a senior biomedical analysis technician, expert in cytodiagnosis, with a workload between 80% and 100%. The starting date is scheduled for January 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The cytology laboratory of the Institute of Pathology brings together 8 cytotechnicians and biomedical analysis technicians. The Institute is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, offering TAB privileged access to advanced diagnostic technologies.
As a senior cytotechnician, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise, refine your skills, and progress to a position as head cytotechnician of the unit.
The Institute of Pathology conducts essential clinical diagnostic activities for the therapeutic guidance of patients. It is accredited according to the ISO 15189 standard.
Mission
- You ensure the execution of biomedical analyses within the framework of establishing medical diagnoses and patient follow-up
- You contribute to the diagnostic activities of the unit
- You participate in the management of the quality management system and the management of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- You contribute to medico-technical optimization and development
- You collaborate in the training and teaching of staff and students
- You contribute to maintaining effective communication within the unit and the service, as well as good relations with internal and external prescribers.
Profile
- You hold the diploma of biomedical analysis technician ES (ESsanté) or an equivalent title recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
- You are an expert in cytodiagnosis, holding a federal diploma or equivalent additional training
- You have extensive professional experience in a cytology laboratory
- You are comfortable with common computer tools and have the ability to adapt to new software
- You have knowledge of accreditation (ISO 15189)
- You are proactive, versatile, conscientious, and dynamic, with good communication skills and an excellent team spirit.
