We have successfully expanded our presence in Europe over the last 8 years with locations in the DACH region in Basel (Switzerland), Böblingen, and Penzberg (Germany) and are currently looking for a Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) for our office in Böblingen (Greater Stuttgart area).
The focus of the activity is on the planning and design of power, lighting, grounding/connection systems as well as special systems (e.g., communication, security, fire alarm systems, instrumentation for HVAC and process technology), cable trays, and other electrical control and building systems. Typical tasks include calculations for current load, lighting, short circuit, and voltage drop, design reports, standards assessments, single-line diagrams, plans, schedules, installation details, specifications, as well as coordination with manufacturers and construction partners.
Project activities include leading design work in all planning phases, continuing planning during construction, and commissioning.
Job Description
- Management, planning, and design of electrical systems for advanced and complex projects in compliance with legal requirements and in coordination with other disciplines
- Close collaboration with architects, engineers, partners, suppliers
- Preparation of reports and drawings for large and complex projects
- Support for all construction activities, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information), reviewing submissions, creating deficiency lists, and progress reports
- Successful communication with clients and external partners
- Budget responsibility for electrical design for small, medium, and large complex projects
- Creation of training presentations in the field of electrical planning
- Construction management including preparation of progress reports
- Quality control of documents (e.g., technical review of design calculations, documentation, design approaches)
- Mentoring and support for junior electrical engineers and designers
- Close collaboration with project managers in preparing offers, identifying design tasks, planning work hours, and scheduling projects in the electrical engineering area

Qualifications
- Completed studies in electrical engineering or technical training as an installer, electrician, or plant mechanic with further training as an engineer/technician in electrical engineering or heating, ventilation, and sanitation technology (HKS)
- At least 10 years of practical experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the Life Science sector and/or the construction industry
- Knowledge and experience in the GMP area
- Experience in performing engineering calculations as well as developing and implementing electrical lighting and power supply systems
- Expert knowledge in dealing with electrical standards and norms (e.g., NIN, EN, VKF)
- Advanced knowledge and skills to perform calculations for electrical lighting, power supply, and special systems independently
- Experience and competence in solving problems with electrical systems
- Basic knowledge and experience with Revit and AutoCAD are advantageous
- High willingness to travel, including outside the DACH region
- Very good German (B2) and English skills (C1)
