FIBA, with global headquarters in Mies/VD Switzerland, is the world governing body of basketball and an independent association formed by 212 National Basketball Federations throughout the world.
FIBA has a truly global reach with five Regional Offices worldwide to support National Federations in their efforts to develop Basketball on the ground. FIBA is a non-profit organisation and recognised as the ultimate authority in basketball by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
We’re looking for an Intern, for a six-month period, who will be part of the Communications department, in the World Headquarters in Mies – Vaud, reporting directly to the Head of Digital.
Digital Communication Intern (6 months)
Key Responsibilities
Within an International renowned Sports Federation, a dynamic team and a human-sized structure, you will be assisting the different people working within the Communications department on various projects related to FIBA events.
Such responsibilities will include, amongst others, the following:
- Content Management for FIBA’s digital assets:
o Articles and photos upload
o Roster Management
o Consistency checks of various websites
o Etc…
- Monitoring of digital platforms to ensure best experience for the users
- Testing of new mobile apps versions
- Management of FIBA’s live stream activities
- Management of FIBA’s digital photo gallery – upload & documentation of photos
- Management of small digital projects (may include social media campaigns)
- Technical support for FIBA’s regional offices
- Diverse administrative tasks/support to the Communications Department
Experience and skills required:
- You are digital and social media savvy and have experience managing websites using CMS
- You are Microsoft computer literate (Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You have experience with photo and/or video editing tools
- You have strong organizational skills and have an eye for detail
- You have a good knowledge of basketball
- You are motivated, multitask and team player
- You have strong organizational and communication skills
Required languages:
- English fluent, written and spoken. Spanish and French is a plus.
PERIOD: 6 months starting July 2023.
Swiss nationality or holding a valid Swiss work permit.
Preference will be given to students who need to do an internship as part of their curriculum.
