Hardware Validation & Verification Engineer

To support our e-Mobility R&D Systems group, in developing, building and optimizing our products' hardware for our battery management systems (BMS), including technical writing, designing schematics, developing PWBA, building a prototype and finalizing the BOM, we are looking for our offices in Yverdon-les-Bains for a 

 

Hardware Validation & Verification Engineer

Purpose:

This is a position in the hardware development group with the responsibility of developing and performing verification and validation testing of new Battery Management System platform used for Safety Critical System. The scope of effort includes technical writing, execution, and preparation of hardware tools to assist in the verification and validation of system. 

Role & Responsibilities:

• Identify V&V requirements for each functional subsystem, customer, and/or requirements.
• Develop test plans/equipment and execute to verify and validate hardware and software to meet performance and reliability goals.
• Testing and assessing the robustness of our designs.
• Devlop and select right methods of verification to comply with SIL system.
• Document any issues found with, performance, functionality, or durability of hardware and/or software under test.
• Write the test report and report test results and work with design engineers to determine root cause of issues and resulting corrective actions.
• Create and deliver reports to leadership groups as needed.
• Contribute in Design Review.

Sills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong documentation and writing skills from HDW requirements to test cases.
• 5 years of embedded hardware experience performing product validation and verification for electronic components
• Proven track record in system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification and validation.
• Knowledge of ISO26262 (Automotive) or RAMS IEC 50129 devlopment is an asset.
• Use of Polarion or equivalent ALM tool is an asset.
• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting at hardware level;
• Experience with the use of specialized electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supply and frequency generators;
• Understanding of controller communication protocols CAN along with recording and analyzing data
