Attached to the Medical and Quality Directorate of the HUG, the pharmacy's mission is to ensure a reliable and responsive supply of medicines, from the pharmacy to the care units, anticipating market risks, to manufacture custom medicines in compliance with quality standards to improve safety of use, to offer expertise to healthcare professionals and patients to optimize drug management from prescription to administration, and to be a reference and competence center in training, teaching, and research, integrating innovative methods.
Job Description
The HUG pharmacy is looking for a chemical laboratory technician for the quality control laboratory sector.
As a laboratory technician, you ensure the quality control of raw materials used for drug manufacturing and finished products produced on-site, respecting Good Manufacturing Practices and the Swiss Pharmacopoeia.
You perform cleaning and check the proper functioning of laboratory equipment and assist with maintenance and validation of these devices.
You keep equipment log books up to date and participate in writing protocols, reports, and procedures.
You contribute to stock management and traceability of raw materials, as well as waste management.
You participate in training students and interns present in the laboratory.
You collaborate closely with other team and service members, notably quality assurance and production.
Qualifications
You hold a CFC diploma as a chemical laboratory technician or equivalent.
You have experience working in a laboratory and are accustomed to using analytical techniques (HPLC, CE, UV, IR...). Knowledge of GMP and experience working in a cleanroom are assets.
Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you enjoy teamwork and easily adapt to new professional environments.
You also have excellent abilities to manage unforeseen events and stress. Your autonomy, rigor, behavior, and sense of responsibility make you a valued professional.
You have experience in transmitting know-how and interpersonal skills. A training certificate for chemical laboratory technician apprenticeship is an asset.
Finally, you have good command of office software (MS Office) and speak and write French perfectly.
