Supply Planner
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning
- Responsible for managing the inventory levels for assigned products at regional level to maximize regional service levels to Customers and optimize working capital spend
- Provide projections to regional warehouse management and transportation functions on Inbound and Storage Volumes
- Execute deployment / allocation in short supply situations Translate business/inventory needs into supply needs
- Provide guidance and recommendations on replenishment model selection, appropriate solvers and related master data by product/product line and by source site to drive business outcomes from a cost and priority perspective
- Engage with the worldwide planning organization on management of long term product supply shortages e.g., temporarily reduce inventory targets in order to automate the propagation / distribution of the materials with shortages, creation of manual STO's for the regions to allow fair share deployment between domestic and intercompany shipments, etc.
S&OP process facilitation
- Facilitate the Supply Review and represent that information in the Regional S&OP meetings ensures timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum to accurately determine regional production plan
- Timely and accurately enter the consensus figures into DP for monthly pass into S&OP to accurately determine production planning
- Represent the regions in the WW Supply Review; ensuring timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum and jointly contribute to the decisions to ultimately determine global production
- Interface with WW Supply Planners for plants globally and S&OP Process owners. Support WW Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish best in class forecast accuracy and provide support in meeting goals across all other SC KPI's to ultimately help manage production/distribution efficiencies
Business performance management
- Support CI, cost reduction or efficiency initiatives in regional Demand Planning area using Six Sigma and best practice benchmarking methodologies
- Responsible for the Regional Key Metrics/Forecast Accuracy to attain the highest level of performance for the assigned product groups and assist in management of cost through achieving those metrics. Maintain a strong link with the business activities and global issues as they may affect respective products sold in the regions regardless of where the products are manufactured.
- Consolidate, challenge the country input for the annual LTP process as well as provide regional input. Work with global and regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network, and maintain a key coordination point with local warehouse management and transportation functions
- Liaison with regional business cross-functional leadership team to understand business strategy and future business needs
Education
University degree in Business, Supply Chain or related fields.
Experiences
- Strong data analytic and statistical experience and skill set. Previous use of forecast accuracy measurements to drive improvement (MAPE, Bias, etc.)
- APICS certification is a plus
- Experience in Supply Chain is preferred
- ERP experience such as SAP or tools such as APO, SCM are a plus
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of project management and CI tools (i.e., Six Sigma)
- Understanding of with the inputs, outputs, systems applications for all aspects of Supply Chain processes
- Skilled and capable in the use of SCM and SAP as a tool in developing appropriate inventory levels and net replenishment requirements to achieve targeted inventory and customer service levels
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Power Point and Word
- Business level fluency in English required, other European language knowledge a plus
