Your role:
The Educational Activities Coordinator reports to Director of Education, Events, Programmes and Accreditation and is involved in coordinating the adult and paediatric HERMES (Harmonising Education in Respiratory Medicine for European Specialists) examinations within and outside Europe, as well as maintaining/developing the pool of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) needed for all related ERS training programmes. Additional tasks related to events programme may be required.
Your Tasks:
- Providing support to committees to generate knowledge-based assessments
- Overseeing registrations and application processes of HERMES examinations
- Generate evaluation reports and working documents required for meetings and sessions including author training workshops, revision workshops, and committee meetings. Prepare statistics linked to examinations and present to committees
- Seeking support of the Assessment Director, Education Directors, and service providers to improve processes and generate assessment documents
- Close monitoring of progress and deadlines, as well as stakeholders’ involvement
- Maintaining appropriate communication with all stakeholders (i.e. ERS committees, national authorities, professional qualification bodies etc)
- Liaising and building working relationships with committee chairs, members, MCQ authors and question writers
- Overseeing the organisation of meetings, examinations, and workshops
- Providing support during meetings, examinations and at workshops
- Developing promotional material to increase participation in HERMES examinations and development of geographical spread.
Your Profile:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in organising examinations and knowledge in medical assessments/educational activities.
- Knowledgeable in standards for qualitative MCQs writing
- Demonstrated excellent communication and written skills in English, compiling meeting minutes, writing informative emails and communicating information clearly
- Experience of working in a team
- Native English speaker

- Ability to use a range of IT software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems etc.)
- Achievement/Results orientation and ability for excellent relationship building capacity, meeting stakeholders and committee expectations
- Ability to complete administrative tasks with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage financial budgets

The position includes travel in Europe and outside Europe for a period of approximately 2-3 days about 2-3 times a year, including some weekends.
