Job description
The EMS Le Nouveau Prieuré is a facility located in Chêne-Bougeries hosting 144 residents in single rooms. Nearby, there is a nursery, a student residence, a home for people with multiple disabilities, and rental apartments, all around a village square: the Nouveau Prieuré.
Following a retirement, we wish to hire, as of April 1, 2026, a:
Nurse Unit Manager at 80%
Your main tasks:
- Organize and manage the care teams welcoming 48 residents,
- Lead, motivate, supervise and oversee the care teams through management that prioritizes listening and dialogue, under the responsibility of the head nurse,
- Coordinate work by using all nursing staff resources to ensure continuity of care and support for residents and guarantee the development of staff skills,
- Assume responsibility for all care and support services for elderly people,
- Participate in the intergenerational project,
- Supervise the quality of care and support services for people with cognitive disorders and in palliative care,
- Manage the pharmacy, maintenance of premises, biomedical equipment and auxiliary means,
- Keep up to date the documentation related to the computerized care records of residents,
- Coordinate the interventions of external paramedical partners.
Profile sought
Your profile:
- Nursing diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross, with cantonal practice rights,
- Management diploma or equivalent title considered an asset,
- Confirmed managerial experience of at least 3 years,
- 5 years or more experience in geriatrics and/or palliative care,
- Knowledge of the Geneva health network,
- Plaisir and Plex training, an asset,
- Proficiency in computer tools (Office Suite, PEP, Carefolio, etc.).
