Electronic Engineer (Analog and Digital Electronics)
Bobst Group-Technology (GT) promotes innovative technologies and develops cutting-edge products to contribute shaping the digital transformation in the packaging industry. Within this Group, the Electronic & Vision Systems team is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Electronic Engineer with expertise in both analog and digital electronics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on various embedded electronics and sensors projects to help our product lines differentiate themselves in the market.

The production site of Mex, near Lausanne in Switzerland, is also the headquarters of the Bobst Group. It is the most important site, employing approx. 1500 passionate people.
It also trains each year roughly 200 apprentices. The site offers an idyllic work environment. In the countryside and close to major highways, it is also well served by public transport. It offers many amenities, such as a corporate restaurant, sports fields, a fitness and a nursery. The facilities have been recently renovated and represent a model for sustainable development.
Main responsibilities
- Elaborate product requirements and specification with stakeholders (Product Owner, Software and Vision Engineers, Industrialization)
- Provide cost estimates and budget analysis for both management and customers
- Present designs and concepts for electronic products and systems to colleagues, management, or customers
- Realize detailed drawings, schematics and models using CAD software
- Develop industrial test and follow production launch (in our own plant)
- Write technical reports and documentation to support product development and testing
- Collaborate with other engineer, technicians, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Provide technical support to internal customers, as needed
- Stay up to date with new technologies, safety rules or government regulations concerning electronics
Your Profile
- Demonstrated experience in electronics development in the industry is a must
- Excellent knowledge of analog and digital electronics
- Strong knowledge of electronic design principles and practices
- Experience with circuit board design
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Team spirit oriented, ability to interact in a multidisciplinary environment
- Ability to work in a fast -paced environment and handle multiple projects
- Experience in product development and testing is a plus
- Microcontroller programming and VHDL programming (FPGA)
- Altium, Mentor Graphics, ModelSim, Xilinx Vivado, DevOps
- MSc degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
- Fluent in English, French is highly desired
