Your new role
As a professional guardian, you manage adult protection mandates on behalf of the KESB Region St.Gallen. Through your work, you help people who rely on your support due to a state of weakness by representing their interests as necessary and supporting your clients in leading as self-determined a life as possible. You take over an existing portfolio of mandates and are part of a committed and high-performing team composed of a mix of social workers and legally trained professionals. You will be competently supported by our specialist services in administrative tasks.
This position is for you if you
- have a tertiary degree in social work.
- ideally already have practical experience in managing guardianship measures or have worked in related fields.
- have solid knowledge of social insurance and accounting.
- have further training in adult protection law, social insurance law, mediation, or systemic/solution-oriented counseling.
- are motivated to learn new things daily and face challenges in your professional everyday life with joy.
- are confident in dealing with crisis and conflict situations.
- enjoy working with a wide variety of people, professionals, and family constellations and have a good approach to conflicting expectations.
- are persuasive, goal-oriented, and assertive.

The professional guardianship with its 60 employees is a department of the Social Services. We maintain lively professional exchanges with various offices inside and outside the city administration.
