Expert Business Controller

Mission

The Expert Business Controller will manage the analysis of Retail P&L by providing relevant KPIs and substantial analytical focus while ensuring data quality and accuracy in order to perform effective management reporting. As a business partner, reporting to the Commercial Controlling Manager, you will collaborate with senior leaders across the business and lead the preparation of various monthly financial and operational reporting with insightful analysis. In addition, you will strongly contribute to the implementation of financial internal controls linked to the commercial activity.

Tasks

• Manage monthly closing analysis, control of Budget and prepare management performance reports.
  

• Analyze financial and operational results related to current business or new projects to better understand company's performance.
  

• Perform detailed analysis by monitoring key performance indicators and link financial impact with business decisions or outcomes.
  

• Drive business controlling function, collaborating with accounting team to ensure costs allocations between accounts, cost centers and business areas are accurate and aligned with budget/targets.
  

• Create new reports & dashboards in order to provide insightful analysis to help management decisions.
  

• Contribute to the development and deployment of internal controls related to commercial finance.

Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required.

• 7+ years experience in preparing and maintaining financial models, budgets, reporting, consolidation and financial analysis, preferably in retail or the luxury industry.

• Proactive & curious.

• Fluent in French & English.

• Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to interact, advise and challenge senior leadership levels.

• Exceptional computer software skills (excel mastery, automation and other consolidation tools), VBA knowledge a plus.

• Previous experience in audit a plus.

• Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience serving as a business partner, practical sense and team working.

• Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects, taking initiative, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
