Description
- Manage and ensure the success of a portfolio of strategic and key customer projects.
- Manage customer expectations and drive their acceptance of the deliverable.
- Deliver value propositions to international NGO's stakeholders, donors and government representatives.
- Anticipate, understand, document and translate customer needs into functional requirements, technical specifications and IT services.
- Plan and coordinate work of different parties; service providers, internal resources, local partners supporting the solutions in the field.
- Ensure the required level of quality of the solution developed.
- Manage and ensure proper operation of production information systems.
- Lead and support the work of in-house engineering teams building the technical solutions.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the internal operational processes.
- 10% of international travels mainly in developing countries.
Profile
- Solid practical expertise in business analysis applied to the development of software solutions preferably using web technologies (mandatory).
- Previous solid practical experience as a Software developer/engineer (a few years at least are mandatory).
- A previous experience in public health sector, NGO's or even a strong interest for is a big plus.
- Able to adapt his communication to different audiences (technical, non-technical, multi-cultural, at different hierarchical levels).
- Conformable in presenting technical subjects to customers.
- Able to animate and motivate a team toward results
- Smart, dynamic and curious.
- Autonomous, practical and pro-active in addressing project hurdles.
- An interest for the latest trends in the following technologies: web, GIS and data related projects.
- Work effectively in a team environment, with minimal guidance and little supervision.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytic skills.
- Proactive commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Think and act quickly, sometimes under pressure, and yet remain meticulous, courteous and make good judgements.
- Good negotiation, advocacy and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to influence, motivate other people and adapt leadership style to variety of situations.
- An interest in data analysis and visualisation.
- Experience working with an agile engineering team (SCRUM like).
- Experience working with Public Health, Humanitarian, NGO's, UN Agencies and Governments is a huge advantage.
- Fluent in English and in French
- Strong interest for the health and humanitarian sector.
- Available as soon as possible.
