PhD position in technology and innovation management
The international institute of management in technology (iimt) at the University of Fribourg solicits applications for a PhD position in innovation and technology management. The international institute of management in technology (iimt) is a leading Swiss competence center for management in technology at the University of Fribourg, offering excellent executive training programs and cutting-edge research and teaching.

The initial contract is 1 year. The contract can be renewed for 2 x 2 years. The maximum funding period is 5 years
- As a PHD student, you must be accepted and enrolled in the Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Fribourg. As such, at least 50% of your time will be dedicated to completion of the doctoral studies and thesis
- In addition to completion of the doctoral courses and thesis, your position will involve teaching and administrative duties
We are looking for someone with the following skills :
- A master’s degree in a social science discipline (e.g., business administration, management, economics, psychology, communication, business informatics). Candidates are welcome to apply early, which may even be several months prior to their graduation
- A passion for research
- An interest in one of the following topics: Digital business models, open innovation and crowdsourcing, top management teams and digital innovation, technology management, strategic human resource management
- Expertise in empirical research methods is desirable
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage
