Position:
Joining a busy, dynamic team, you will report to the Head of Legal & Compliance for the Bank's Investment Funds Group. In this role you will essentially be contributing to maintain and constantly improve the legal and compliance framework of the Swiss Management Company. This includes the managing of fund projects, the fund document maintenance and control of legal and compliance risks and regulatory requirements of the fund management company as well as on Swiss Fund level.

- Responsibility for fund documentation covering the full life cycle of funds under Swiss and Luxembourg Law: prepare and execute fund launches, fund prospectus/fund contract revisions, mergers and liquidations
- Close cooperation with FINMA, external service providers as well as related oversight responsibility; handling of notifications, applications and queries from FINMA
- Support or lead internal projects, process management and/or fund product initiatives
- Responsibility for adjustments to legal fund structures in the event of regulatory or factual changes as well as initiation of and oversight on fund registration and distribution
- Prepare, negotiate and maintain all relevant contracts related to the Swiss funds and the Swiss Management Company and prepare corporate documentation
- Manage and further develop the Compliance oversight framework on the Swiss Management Company, and perform Swiss regulatory watch
- General point of contact internally and with external stakeholders for legal issues
- University degree in law, economics or equivalent
- At least five years+ of work experience in the fund industry, preferably with experience gained at a law firm and/or regulator.
- A first in-house experience is an asset
- At ease in a medium-sized structure where you are very hands-on

- Very good command of English, German and French
- Swiss permit holders only or eligible; frontalier also OK
- Compelling reasons to move to the Basel area if not already based locally
- Able to commit to a 100% job in the office (no home-working)
