The World Lottery Association (WLA) is a global, non-profit, member-based organization representing the interests of more than 150 state-authorized lottery and sports betting organizations from 80 countries, and more than 70 suppliers to the lottery industry. Through the provision of a range of industry-related services, we support our members in their mission to raise money for good causes in their respective jurisdictions.

Data Analysis & Research Coordinator
The Data Analysis & Research Coordinator is charged with overseeing the research outputs of the association. This role calls for a candidate with an analytical mindset, who is rigorous, precise, methodical, and who can pay meticulous attention to detail. The candidate must be a native English speaker, preferably with a degree in mathematics, statistics, or computer science. A good working knowledge of French would also be advantageous. The ability to distil complex technical information into content suitable for both technical and non-technical (e.g. executive) audiences would be highly prized. Once hired, the candidate will work alongside the current Data Analysis & Research Coordinator until his departure in 2023. Thereafter, the candidate will take full charge of role. In particular, the responsibilities of this role encompass the following:
Data Analysis & Research
- End-to-end management of the WLA Global Lottery Data Compendium, including: data collection and collation; data aggregation, standardization, and normalization; writing and editing; and coordination of proofreading, typesetting, printing, and shipping.
- Other research and analysis: production of the association’s industry bulletin, the WLA Quarterly Lottery Sales Indicator; ad hoc research and analysis on special topics.
For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity of becoming involved in managing the association’s I.T. assets going forward.
