Industrial Electronical Engineer (validation and technical trainer)

The BOBST Group Technology division carries out innovative technology and product developments to shape digital transformation in the packaging industry. Within this group, the Quality Control Product team which develops next generation of machine vision products that increase the competitiveness of our machines is looking for a talented Electronical Engineer who will be in charge of validating our products (hardware and software) and prepare training material.

Main Responsibilities

• Industrialization and testing of new functions/products in the field of quality control equipments,
• Create training material to support and train commissioning technicians, internal customer services as well as our customers,
• Design and deployment of software and hardware tools (e.g. simulators) required to test our installations, e.g. for R&D or production needs,
• Troubleshooting and technical support in-house and at customer sites,
• Functional support of our products,
• Technical support for product lines (R&D, demonstration, training and commissioning)

Your Profile

• Technical background :- experience in electronic (digital and analog) and components used in machine vision (PC, camera, lighting systems, etc.),
  - interest in software applications
  
  
• Ideally some years of experience in industry and / or an affinity with industrial machinery,
• Excellent presentation and communication skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary group,
• Demonstrated training experience,
• Open-minded, interested and curious for new technologies,
• You show initiative, and rigor in following the different tasks,
• Availability to travel abroad occasionally (about 5-30%)

Would be a significant asset:

• Languages : Batch/PowerShell scripting, C#, Beckhoff/TwinCAT, NSIS
• Operating System : Windows deployment (certification)
• Agile Portal : Azure DevOps
• Certified ISTQB tester

Your education and languages skills

• MSc degree or equivalent in Electronic or Software ; or significant professional experience in the areas mentioned above
• Proficiency in English, French is an asset

The production site of Mex, near Lausanne in Switzerland, is also the headquarters of the Bobst Group. It is the most important site, employing approx. 1500 passionate people.
