This role can be based in Eysins, Switzerland or Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Distribution & Logistics Specialist acts as the main interface between distribution partners & customer interacting teams (Customer Service, Technical Support, Fields Services and Distributors) to manage & oversee all customer shipments and to develop & implement distribution strategies (including selection/management of transport partnership and distribution channels). The Distribution & Logistics Specialist is responsible for all Logistics Inbound & Outbound Operations including adherence to all appropriate import and export requirements.

 

The main responsibilities include:

• Maintain and develop relationships across logistics, warehouse and customer interacting teams to ensure that shipments are delivered in respect with the agreed KPI’s
• Build, maintain and manage relationships with all 3rd Party logistics providers to ensure best value and service maintained.
• Manage and coordinate Quotient’s Export and Import distribution worldwide ensuring the distribution service is both seamless and cost effective, meeting customer demands and site manufacturing requirements for imported raw materials.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to the correct Import/Export standards in order to maintain the integrity of the operation.
• Lead global fulfilment & transportation strategic roadmap, working on new strategies related to distribution and logistics for any new projects or emerging markets.
• Oversee and analyse logistical problems, producing new solutions.
• Provide specialist input and knowledge as required by the business in relation to the area of distribution & logistics.
• Responsible for the continued review and improvement of all procedures relating to logistics & distribution, identifying and proposing clear recommendations for improvements in operational efficiency and effectiveness.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics area /Supply Chain, ideally in a GMP & GDP environment
• Engineering Degree with logistics specialization or equivalent education
• Strong knowledge/experience within transportation/logistics/warehousing/distribution management including Import/Export trade compliance expertise including incoterms, VAT and duty requirements on exports and imports
• Strong flexibility and learning agility, ability to adapt quickly
• Ability to negotiate, influence and manage ambiguity
• Strong customer focus mindset
• Fluent in English, French is a plus
