Your mission:
As a Solution Architect, you actively shape the digital future of our company. You further develop our architecture strategy – focusing on e-commerce, modern technologies, and data-driven innovations. Together with the business units, you drive change forward and ensure that our platforms are future-proof and AI-ready.
Your tasks:
- Development and further development of our architecture with a focus on business value, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and AI-readiness
- Architectural responsibility in complex digital projects – especially in the areas of conversational e-commerce, middleware, platform integration, and data platforms
- Consulting and sparring for business and IT stakeholders – you speak both languages
- Building and maintaining architecture blueprints, guidelines, and governance structures
- Active participation in change processes and inspiring your colleagues for new technologies and approaches
- Cross-domain architecture: Oversee overall architecture across four areas (retail, mobile virtual network operator, data platform, integration/online platform), design data flows, define and document integration patterns (e.g., architecture decision records)
- Vendor & partner management: Specify requirements for external service providers, review deliverables, moderate conflicts, organize knowledge transfer
- Team enablement & gap-bridging: Identify capacity gaps, mentor internal teams, selectively involve external partners, conduct architecture reviews
- Roadmapping & modernization: Strategically set modernization priorities, formulate business cases, coordinate budget
- Cross-team coordination: Clarify integration requirements between areas, recognize dependencies early, ensure compliance with standards
Your profile:
- Completed studies in computer science or comparable qualification
- 5+ years of experience as a solution architect, ideally in the telecom or e-commerce environment
- Proven successes, e.g., leading a middleware migration with 30% cost savings
- Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) are an advantage
- Technical understanding of
integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, ETL)
distributed systems (consistency, idempotency, error handling)
APIs and API governance
data flows in large systems (lineage, quality, performance) - Desirable:
Experience with SQL Server and legacy modernization
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O or Customer Engagement)
Experience with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, Microservices, ECS/EKS)
Azure Databricks or comparable modern data platforms
Service provider or consulting background
Experience in the domain MVNO or telecommunications
Experience with Agile at Scale across multiple distributed teams - Strong communication skills and ability to connect business and IT
