As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) is responsible for services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, young people, and families are at the center of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
The Information Agency (INA) of the AJB designs and implements all communication materials of the office. In addition, it proactively advises and supports the office management as well as the specialists in all communication matters.
To strengthen the INA team, we are looking for a communications consultant on a maternity cover basis from February 1, 2026, limited until the end of November 2026.
Your main tasks:
- Advising assigned internal clients on both strategic and implementation-related communication projects
- Designing, implementing, and controlling appropriate communication measures and ensuring consistent communication planning
- Independently handling and coordinating media inquiries
- Maintaining and further developing websites (including the cantonal website, pflegefamilien.zh.ch) and social media channels
- Collaborating on content strategy and topic planning within the INA team
You bring with you
- Master’s degree in corporate and/or marketing communication
- Several years of professional experience in corporate communication and/or a communication agency
- Experience in professional handling of media and media inquiries
- Experience in leading and implementing communication projects
- Committed, solution-oriented, and independent working style
- Interest in education and family topics
- Strong communication skills, able to set priorities, coordinate different interests, and engage both internal and external stakeholders
- Very good oral and written German skills
