Senior Quality Engineer

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for the planning of quality controls of Novelis products in production and their daily execution to avoid non-conformity, customer complaints and waste production
• Take preventive and/or corrective actions using appropriate tools such as Pareto charts, FMEA, statistical control charts, WCM, etc.
• Evaluate the capabilities of the equipment and control systems used (MSA, Gage R and R, etc.)
• Provide technical support to avoid any negative impact on customer needs in close collaboration with Engineers from the Automotive Development department and the Finishing department
• Manage and communicate analysis, data and quality related information provided by the production unit
• Provide personal feedback to operators on quality issues through regular evaluations
• Actively participate in daily meetings with team leaders, process engineers and planners
• Manage internal process audit

How to convince us:

• Master of Science in Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in operating sites with process management responsibilities
• Demonstrated competence in specific engineering fields
• Creativity, innovation and knowledge of multiple technical disciplines and processes to solve complex problems
• Demonstrated experience communicating with suppliers and all levels of the Novelis organization
• Strong leadership skills to motivate teams
• Attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in local languages: French, German and English
