As a "R&D Specialist Packaging", you will join the Capsule & Packaging Team to support innovation, development, and industrialization of functional packaging solutions for Nespresso Project x OL & VL from concept to launch in full alignment with business needs and in line with Nestlé sustainability requirements. In this position, you will manage projects in the field of functional packaging / materials / Filling and Sealing lines as well as system performance, and you will act as a proactive actor for your own safety and for others.
- Propose new ideas/concepts/activities/methods in terms of design, materials and characterization
- Lead packaging projects with selected packaging suppliers & conduct trials at Nestlé factory with focus on product quality, on time delivery, line performance and cost efficiency while meeting safety, compliance and regulatory aspects
- Ensure that packaging solutions properly interact with the machine and deliver targeted system performance
- Build knowledge for Nestlé by conducting trials, externalizing studies and generating written reports
- Ensure that your ideas are properly protected by patents and that Nestlé has always a competitive edge
- Support development of competencies of Lab technician and peers and disseminate best practices within the team using available training materials or developing new tools
- Activate relevant internal and external networks to ensure that best knowledge is put in the projects
- R&D Packaging Engineer with expertise in packaging and converting processes (rigid packaging paper / plastics)
- Experience in packaging development and industrialization at factories
- Successful Project Management experience ideally in an R&D environment (without PM Certificate accepted)
- Experience in DMAIC / Green Belt is a definitive plus
- Very good innovation mindset and ability to work with creative people
