Occupational Therapist for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service is looking for an occupational therapist at a 50% activity rate, starting January 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Nyon Outpatient Clinic is part of the Outpatient Pathway of the University Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service (SUPEA) and receives children and adolescents suffering from psychological difficulties, as well as their relatives.
Care begins with a thorough examination of the child's or adolescent's mental health status and the impact of these difficulties in social, family, and school spheres. Based on the established diagnosis, a treatment plan is proposed and co-constructed with the patients and their environment. Therapists provide supportive treatments, guidance, therapeutic consultations, psychotherapies, and family follow-ups.
The multidisciplinary team composed of doctors, psychologists, nurses, and social workers supported by a secretariat is committed to actively collaborating with the internal and external care network of the University Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service (SUPEA).
Mission
- You assess the sensorimotor development, organization, and social skills of the child or adolescent
- You propose interventions promoting emotional regulation, attention, fine and gross motor skills
- You support the child or adolescent in daily life activities (adaptations, coping strategies)
- You work in connection with families and schools to facilitate participation and inclusion
- You design and conduct prevention activities
- You work as part of a team and ensure collegial intra- and interprofessional collaboration.
Profile
- You hold a HES occupational therapist diploma (bachelor level) or an equivalent recognized title
- You have several years of care experience, a plus
- You have experience in psychiatry, a plus
- You have a sense of autonomy and responsibility and good skills in negotiation, teamwork, and interdisciplinary communication
- You have listening skills and sensitivity to social integration issues
- You are interested in the continuous development of care quality in an environment dedicated to missions other than health
- The salary grade will be defined according to your application profile (level between 8 and 9).
