Medical Assistant in the Women-Mother-Child Department
The gestational diabetes consultation of the maternity ward, in the Women-Mother-Child Department, is looking for a medical assistant at an 80% rate to complete its team. The starting date is scheduled for May 1, 2026, and it is a permanent contract.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) includes the Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives in gynecological, obstetrical, and psychosocial aspects, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
Mission
- Ensure efficient management of the organization of the gestational diabetes unit consultation
- Perform medical-technical acts for patient follow-up according to current protocols
- Ensure the production and flow of documents internally and externally and provide administrative support to the unit
- Collaborate with the secretary of the unit's senior physician
- Actively contribute to the quality, development, and improvement of the unit's services.
Profile
- You hold a diploma as a medical assistant or an equivalent recognized title
- You have at least 2 years of successful experience in the medical field
- You have perfect command of French spelling and a good knowledge of the healthcare system
- You are versatile, organized, and autonomous. Your collaborative spirit, interpersonal skills, and priority management allow you to follow and manage several files simultaneously
- You have the ability to handle a busy workload and work in a multidisciplinary team
- You are comfortable with MS Office software, and ideally with CHUV's IT tools (Axya, Ultragenda, Medex, Soarian, and Archimède).
