In this central role, you will work closely with the CFO and various stakeholders, bring your expertise into a dynamic environment, and contribute decisively to the sustainable success of HBL with your commitment.
Your tasks
- Professional, business management, and personnel leadership of the accounting department
- Close collaboration with the CFO including selective participation in management meetings and audit and risk committee meetings
- Operation and further development of consolidation and group reporting for the bank including group manual, consolidation principles, accounting and valuation principles
- Participation in the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements of the bank
- Participation in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Support in detailed quarterly reporting for the executive management and board of directors
- Participation in the preparation of presentations for media representatives and analyst conferences
- Development and expansion of the internal control system (ICS) as well as ensuring quality
- Contact point for internal and external audit regarding questions related to the annual financial statements
- Active participation and assumption of specialist responsibility in various strategic projects of the bank
What you bring
- Several years of experience in the financial industry, ideally in a banking environment
- Higher education or further training (e.g., banking diploma, financial planner, certified auditor, university degree or equivalent)
- Proven leadership experience with a pronounced hands-on mentality
- Solid banking and business management know-how, especially in group reporting, controlling, and financial planning
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a high affinity for numbers
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with various stakeholders
- Openness to change and interest in digital developments in the financial sector
