Team Leader Social Pedagogical Key Worker (80-100%), Uster
Since March 2024, Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centers for families, individuals, and unaccompanied minors (MNA) at currently five locations in the canton of Zurich on behalf of the cantonal social office (KSA). For the management of our residential group team in the areas of social pedagogy, care, and housekeeping at the MNA center in Uster, we are looking for a committed professional with leadership experience and interpersonal skills.
Your tasks
Leadership tasks
Professional tasks
- Professional and personnel leadership and advice of the MNA residential group team, solution-oriented intervention in case of problems and conflicts
- Planning of personnel deployment according to personnel requirements planning in coordination with the center management
- Participation in the recruitment of additional professionals for the team
- Preparation and follow-up as well as conducting meetings including case discussions
- Promotion of the professional development of employees
- Representation of the residential group towards internal and external bodies
Professional tasks
- Social pedagogical and psychosocial support and care
- Support of young people in various areas of life (school, leisure, health) with individual objectives and goal reviews
- Support of young people in managing money
- Crisis interventions and conflict management
Our requirements
- Completed recognized social pedagogical training (or equivalent)
- Experience in the migration field and/or youth work desirable
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good German skills, additional foreign language skills are an advantage
- Intercultural competence
- Willingness to work varying hours
- High sense of responsibility and quality awareness
- Initiative and independence as well as assertiveness
- High resilience and ability to cope with stress
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Impeccable reputation
