Your new role

As an Information and Documentation Specialist, you work in libraries, documentation centres, and archives. You are responsible for systematically recording, organising, and making information and media accessible to others.

You select media, index it professionally, and ensure its storage and preservation. At the same time, you support customers in their research and ensure they find the information they need quickly and reliably.

You work with both physical media such as books and documents as well as digital databases and modern information systems. Your work combines organisational, technical, and communicative tasks.

Your tasks

• Selection, indexing, and management of media and information
• Maintenance and organisation of collections in libraries, archives, and documentation centres
• Support with research and information requests
• Advice and support for customers
• Working with digital databases and information systems
• Ensuring the order and quality of collections
• Organisation and execution of events and tours

Fair remuneration:

1st year of apprenticeship: CHF 770.–

2nd year of apprenticeship: CHF 980.–

3rd year of apprenticeship: CHF 1’380.–

Monthly performance bonus for good results at vocational school and in the training company
