We are an agro-industrial food production and distribution company, specializing in sourcing, manufacturing, distributing, and trading of soft commodities and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), active in Switzerland, UAE & West Africa.
To strength our Finance team, we are delighted to open the position for an
Group Accounting & Consolidation Manager – 100%
Mission
To take ownership the production of high-quality financial accounts and reports for the Group (consolidation) and subsidiary companies as well as development of related internal control policies and procedures.
Manage the international audit, financials statements, ensuring the accurate and timely application of IFRS at subsidiary level as well as the consolidation on group level.
Key outputs to be achieved by the role:
Part A: Statutory consolidation, audit, IFRS and accounting
- Quarterly consolidation of group accounts under IFRS
- Manage external audits on group and standalone level
- Liaise with reporting entities to ensure a timely and accurate close according to group policy, processes & systems
- Review books of standalone entities and specific GAAP treatments, and provide guidance as required
- Provide guidance in respect of IFRS technical matters
- Manage all IFRS group consolidated financial reporting and statements including the calculation of consolidation adjustments
- Strong collaboration with external auditors
Part B: Policies, Controls & Compliance
- Create and establish group wise accounting policies & procedures
- Review finance processes and controls in place, identify issues & gaps and advise on controls that can be implemented, especially with the implementation of new ERPs
- Ensure compliance by all entities of the group to the above, as well as review entities that are to enter the group in advance
Part C: Financing & other Finance related matters
- Provide support to all finance related matters, handle directly all matters required
- Provide support cross-vertical, and participate cross-function where finance guidance or involvement is required
- Provide Specific / ad-hoc accounting analysis and accounting issues documentation.
Education
- Master’s degree in finance / Accounting/ Controlling / Audit
- Accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable
Experience
- 5 years of overall combined audit background within an audit firm and with a first corporate role within a consolidation or reporting department of a Group with Industrial & Commercial activities.
Technical Competencies
- English mandatory
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Excellent in accounting software
- Proficiency in general ledger and/or consolidation functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Strong numeric skills
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Advanced knowledge in creating financial statements
