About the Role
You will provide second level field performance analysis, diagnose issues for New Product Development and sustaining field trials and collaborate with other engineers on product improvements.
You will maintain and upgrade the software tools and API for the product release as well as design new specific applications for CPI products.
You share your technical expertise with other departments (Manufacturing, first line Field Engineering).
Your Responsibilities
- Deep analyze of product performances (audit, logs, failure, etc.) (40%)
- Software development (Design and Coding) (40%)
- Provide technical expertise and 2nd level support for customer facing issues by working with Technical Support and directly with the customer (10%)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development (5%)
- Perform other duties as assigned (5%)
Your Qualifications and Key Attributes for Success
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3-years experience in similar role
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
- Creative, work quickly and independently; attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines and seek assistance/direction when necessary.
- Excellent influencing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Results and people oriented with sound judgment—ability to balance other business considerations
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to interface with personnel from various departments and levels.
- Team player – able to work in a matrix organization
- Good oral, written and telephonic communication skills with the ability to conduct effective oral presentations in French and English.
- Ability to travel as necessary
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (C/C , C#, Java)
- Capable of designing in a PC environment or similar
- Ability to design, implement and test a complete system based on specific requirements
- Some knowledge of embedded software development would be a plus (e.g. low-level hardware functions, real-time operating systems, protocols)
- Give recommendations or proposals regarding software architecture and other subjects upon project basis.
- Able to diagnose issues at product, system, module level and suggest corrective actions
