Customs & Import Specialist (m/f/d)/GMP/Pharma/Customs Processing/ Kaiseraugst

Project: The Import & Export sub-chapter is responsible for the entire handling of imports and exports at the site, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal compliance guidelines, and supports internal departments with all questions related to customs, transport, and international trade.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Coordination and ensuring correct delivery of goods by freight forwarders
• Organization and monitoring of national and international transports
• Checking accompanying documents and proof of preference
• Creation and recording of import shipments according to internal guidelines
• Creation, transmission, and correction of import and transit declarations (SAP GTS/E4H)
• Participation in customs inspections and communication with customs authorities
• Issuing customs clearance and forwarding instructions to third-party freight forwarders
• Control of customs accounts (ZAZ) and import customs declarations
• Coordination of transport damages with internal and external partners
• Support with transport and customs issues at the Rotkreuz site
• Operational responsibility for foreign trade processes within transfer projects
• Contribution to process improvements and achievement of goals in daily business

Must Haves:

• Commercial basic training with further education in foreign trade (e.g. foreign trade specialist)
• At least 2 years of experience in import/export business and freight forwarding
• Solid knowledge of Swiss customs processing
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Proficient PC user skills (MS Office, Google Workspace)
• Independent, reliable, and team-oriented personality with high resilience
• Solution-oriented and communicative working style

Nice to haves:

• Experience with SAP SD (order & shipping processing) and SAP TM (transport planning & monitoring)
• Knowledge of SAP GTS for customs and foreign trade processes
• Understanding of GMP-relevant processes in the life sciences industry
• Experience with customs systems and electronic assessment decisions (eVV)
