In this position, you will operate as a Business partner to the company’s management and head of department, while at the same time closely monitoring key financial indicators, market trends, and customer activities. Your responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of the unit with ABB standards, regulations and guidelines
  • Responsibility for monthly closing, budgeting and forecasting in line with ABB Group Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, monitoring of variances between budget and actual results to support management actions
  • Participating in risk and project reviews, providing financial guidance to the project management team and managing financial risks and opportunities
  • Act as first point of contact in controlling and CO-SAP related questions
  • Ensure compliance with global and local project review guidance and internal control requirements, control owner for O2C 3.2 -3.4
  • Identify cost savings potentials, work closely with Operations Manager
  • Timely and efficient communication with the local management team and to global stakeholders on financial performance and actions
  • Drive capital efficiency (Net Working Capital, ITO)
  • Support business planning, implementation and follow up according to business unit strategies

Your background

  • Master or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Finance (or similar)
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in an international business environment, accounting and business control function
  • Willing to work under pressure, to assume responsibility
  • Hands-on mentality and the ability to work independently, pragmatic and proactively both with local and global contacts
  • Profound knowledge of finance and control processes and tools (SAP, ARIC) and USGAAP regulations
  • Project Controller Certification is a plus
  • Fluent in English and German
