In our development department in Turgi, Switzerland, we develop power
Electronic converters for traction applications. We strengthen our position in the target
markets with the continuous improvement of our products and technologies.
With our innovative designs, we intend to open new markets and application areas.
In the Control Software Group we develop powerful and reliable control software
for power electronic converters used in locomotives and train sets.
We are looking for a technically and culturally open-minded Senior Control Software
Engineer (m/f/d) who proves to be a team player in a very innovative environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Design reliable real-time control loops in the area of machine and traction control for our traction converters
  • Oversee all stages of R&D, ranging from feasibility studies and simulations to implementation and testing
  • Develop and test control software for traction converters used in the rail industry
  • Carry out final commissioning on board of locomotives and train sets
  • Provide professional technical support to the product management and to internal and external customers

Your background

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's or PhD
  • Experience (>5 years) in control of electrical machine and knowledge in power electronics
  • Passion for dynamic control theory as well as experience in closed-loop control systems
  • High level of proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, ideally complemented by experience with real-time targets and embedded software
  • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken, and willingness to learn German
  • Well-structured approach with the ability to work in close cooperation with others
