The Position

In the Immunology Therapeutic Area, we are developing cutting edge therapies to treat inflammatory diseases. As a member of the Immunology group, you will be part of an international team that includes scientists and clinicians that are developing immunologic medicines for the future.

We're currently looking for a creative, lab-based scientist with strong expertise applying spatial omics and other in vitro technologies to elucidate mechanisms relevant to immune-mediated diseases.

Responsibilities:

These responsibilities capture a portion of what your work will look like:

  • Develop and apply state-of-the-art technologies, incl. spatial transcriptomic and proteomic technologies and aid in developing dedicated data analysis pipelines to elucidate mechanisms of disease and therapeutic interventions

  • Collaboratively design, conduct and interpret preclinical in vitro studies for the validation and characterization of targets or therapeutic agents in close cooperation with scientists and research associates

  • Act as an experienced resource within the Immunology function and in project teams, and demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication

  • Liaise and collaborate with team members and external experts. You are well-connected to the drivers of new and emerging scientific innovation and technologies in this fast-progressing field

Who You Are

  • You possess a PhD degree in Life Sciences (immunology, cellular/ molecular biology, pharmacology or a closely related discipline). Significant scientific accomplishments documented by publications in high-impact journals

  • Diligent and passionate about wet-lab work, dedicated to team work

  • Technical and theoretical expertise in immunology; experienced in good experimental design, including the planning, conduct and analysis of spatial transcriptomic and/or proteomic procedures incl. data analysis

  • Ability to effectively present and discuss scientific data and concepts with colleagues and teams. Skillfully able to interact effectively with people, both internally and externally

  • Excellent data management and record-keeping skills

  • You can communicate fluently in English
