This role is a highly technical and a specialized professional position responsible for collaborating with multi-discipline research programs by providing high quality & consistent in-vivo scientific/technical support. Perform supplemental tasks in assisting the Manager in coordinating Comparative Medicine - Research Collaborations (CM-RC) staff activities (eg scheduling, presentations).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure state-of-the-art animal experimentation with highest ethical and technical standards: animal (mouse, rat) handling, substance application, clinical signs monitoring/scoring, blood/organ sampling or implementation of novel technologies
• Provide evaluation and interpretation of data and design of the next experiment with limited input from supervisor
• Professional experience in phenotyping activities advantageous (e.g. behavioural, metabolic, activity test)
• Weekend duties, early morning or late evening dosing
• Closely and independently interact with scientists
• Generate, review and understand experimental protocols, based on professional experience or continuous literature review
• Responsible for pursuing continuous learning/professional development opportunities, enhancing/expanding skill set, and reviewing CM techniques

Role Requirements

What you will bring to the role:

• Bachelor or Master degree (please note that we do not currently require a PhD/Postdoc level candidate for this position) with completed education as in-vivo laboratory technician (LTK 1 or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 - 8 years’ experience in a technical skills tract laboratory animal program required
• Good data analysis and statistical skills
• Superior written and oral communication and data documentation skills required
• Strong commitment to animal welfare, team player, detail-oriented
• Fluent in English
