WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

The Distributor Planning & Compliance Specialist supports the Distributor Planning and Compliance Manager in developing and executing strategies integrating financial and compliance factors into distributor management to drive revenue growth. Effectively assist in managing the distributor management administration, including but not limited to contract management, distributor financial reporting related, and compliance reporting. Additionally, the role is also expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure development of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans for distributor management.

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

Distributor Management:

  • Prepares distributor balance scorecard necessary for the analysis of distributor performance and provide guidance assistance to the Distributor Development Manager (DDM) in interpreting the data.
  • Assist Distributor Planning and Compliance Manager (DP&CM) in generting and analyzing monthly distributor financial performance assessment including but not limited to revenue, costs, and profitability of Distributor Partner for exclusive areas (DP) and Distributor Delivery Partner (DDP).
  • Assist Distributor Planning and Compliance Manager in generting and analyzing performance report of the TWR deliberately generated from the TME (including but not limited to the accounts receiveble, credit limit utilization, out of route count2), and incorporate analysis affecting DDP profitability.
  • Review distributor claims for accruacy, completeness, and compliance with agreed terms and policies and procedures, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address any discrepancies or issues may arise.
  • Provide customer service to distributors by addressing any inquiries, concerns or disputes related to claims payment.

Distributor Development:

  • Conducts a comprehensive financial analysis of distributor performance and provide insights for development and action plan.
  • Evaluate total market conditions, competitive threats, and changing dynamics which may impact overall profitability of JTI and business partners.
  • Identify trends and patterns of distributor management profitability performance and provide insights to the management for action plan and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct a regular review of the distributor remuneration scheme to ensure fair and sustainable partnership

Strategic Planning:

  • Assist DP&CM in generating data and prepares reports necessary to develop financial and volume forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans for distributor management.
  • Participate in evaluation of potential business opportunities, such as new product launches or market expansions, by conducting financial feasibility studies and risk assessment affecting distributor management.

Compliance and Administration:

  • Prepares report and review latest DDP A/R ageing, and DDP/DP Inventory/Shipment. Provide necessary support to ensure target shipment and IMS will be delivered and achieve.
  • Weekly updating of Distributor Management database in relation to Balance scorecard, DDP's Trade AR, Trade CL and Terms, On-time and In-full

(OTIF) monitoring, marketing claims.

  • Ensure proper administration of distributor contracts, pricing, and compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Assist DP&CM in conducting periodic audits to evaluate distributor compliance and address any non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Perform cost control validaiton and monitor adherence to budgetary requirement related to Distributor Management program initiated.
  • Prepares timely and accurately DP/DDPs profitability reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Maintain system, and recording and tracking of distributor claims, payments, and related documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records, including but not limited to detailed documentation or payment approvals, adjuustments, and communications.
  • Perform analysis of payment data trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Gather weekly bottom-up volume for the volume forecast analysis.
  • Prepares and analyze necessary report as requested by the CBU and NDMDM
  • Assist effectively in the process of disengagement and transition with the DP/DDP.
  • Assist in validaton of DP and DDP claims and pay for performance contention of DDP and address issues relative to timeliness and completeness of distributor claims.
  • Assist in the monthly DDP/DP stock take.

  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, or any other quantitative subjects / related field
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in FMCG.
  • Proven experience in Sales and Distributor Management, and Financial and Operation Management.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in operational audit
  • Experience in forecasting is not essential but is advantageous
  • Fluent in English (both speaking and writing)

  • Computer literacy (advanced Excel is required)
