Your new responsibilities

  • An open ecosystem is created that integrates wired and wireless devices through an edge device connected to the BuildingX cloud
  • Software architecture, design and implementation of the edge device based on Embedded Linux
  • Evaluating and contributing to open-source and inner-source components with an open mindset and according to the upstream first principle
  • Working in an agile development environment according to Scrum and SAFe principles with a focus on the customer

Your talents and experience

  • A degree in engineering in the field of: electrical engineering, informatics or similar
  • Sound software engineering skills for secure system devices based on OSS concepts (EmbLinux Yocto/cross-development, Podman, European Cyber Resilience Act, etc.)
  • At least five years' experience in object-oriented design in various programming languages such as: modern C++ ++ and Rast as well as in scripting languages such as Python
  • Use and expansion of a modern CI/CD pipeline for embedded devices (CMake, GitLab Runner, Lava, etc.) with integrated quality jobs
  • Proactive and motivated personality with very good communication skills, in order to collaborate with other disciplines and other locations in a global set-up
  • A willingness to take over "ownership" of topics and extended roles (e.g. SM, PO)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
