Product Manager Mechatronics Product Portfolio, 80 - 100%

For its Semiconductor division, VAT is looking for an experienced Product Manager for the controller product portfolio with profound knowledge of the Semiconductor industry as well as visionary views on the upcoming challenges of the leading edge mechatronic controller related products. The role is a strategic product management position responsible to transform the market requirements into controller product roadmaps with underlying solid business cases. The ideal candidate has a proven record of solving leading edge technical challenges for the Semiconductor market. You bring strong business acumen, demonstrate strategic thinking and know how to further build our customer trust and loyalty. You are able to provide fact driven proposals to solve complex problems and are passionate to work with and further develop a globally matrixed team of experienced engineers and product managers. Very strong interfaces are given to our mechatronics department (part of the Corporate R&D team) and field application engineering teams.

YOUR CHALLENGES

• Define standardization to streamline the existing VAT mechatronics product portfolio
• Aligning requirements with product management, field application engineering and corporate R&D to define standardized components and features to be used in the mechatronics product portfolio
• Deriving future technology requirements from all business units and shape the corporate R&D technology roadmap for mechatronics
• Influence technical marketing campaigns and benchmarking activities to challenge the status quo
• Networking with the SEMI industry and related fields to elaborate on future requirements and recognize new business opportunities
• Exchange with EMS suppliers and our internal category management to manage the impact of manufacturing to the customer experience

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in sciences or engineering, preferably electrical engineering
• 4- 5 years experience in collaboration with firmware and electronics development engineers
• Proven record of product management in the component B2B business, in Semiconductors
• Ability to manage an edge technology product portfolio in a global matrix organization for global customers
• Very good English language skills required, German is beneficial
• Willingness to travel %5
