Compagnie Financière Tradition, one of the largest interdealer brokers in the world,  is looking for a credit risk officer who will be part of the group's counterparty credit risk team.

The team is responsible for the counterparty and country credit risk management of the matched principal activity of the group.

You will be focussing on assessing the counterparty risk of a large scope of financial institutions (banks, brokers, funds, asset managers and insurance companies) based in developed and emerging markets.

Job description

 You will work within the group counterparty credit risk team and have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage counterparty and country risk on a large and diverse portfolio of counterparties mostly financial institutions, based in developed and emerging markets spread across the globe. More specifically you will have to:

             . Conduct credit risk assessments and provide sound and independent rating/credit opinions.
             . Perform regular reviews of the portfolio of counterparties and adjust credit limits as needed.
             . Monitor macro-economic, market indicators and daily news to follow trends and risks.

  • Interact with Front-office on transaction approvals and support a credit hotline.
  • Perform various risk reports.
  • Contribute to the development of counterparty rating models.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk management policies, guidelines and procedures across the Group.
  • Contribute to the development of appropriate risk management systems; ensure appropriate data quality in risk systems.
  • Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization.
  • Liaise as needed with Local Risk Managers.

 

Qualifications

  • University master degree in Finance or Business administration, CFA an advantage.
  • Established knowledge of credit analysis on financial institutions (banks, funds, asset managers, brokers and insurances).
  • 3 to 4 years of experience as a credit officer covering a portfolio of financial institutions with preferably exposure to emerging markets.
  • Analytical and flexible mind.
  • Fast and reliable execution, attention to details.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. Effective management of priorities.
  • Team player, but also able to work independently.
  • Superior ability to communicate clearly with all types of staff and management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Bloomberg an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; other languages a plus, preferably French and or Spanish.
