We are looking for a solution-oriented Research Assistant to plan, perform and execute experimental studies under the direction of the lead scientist and group/team manager in the field of metabolic health, cell and organ metabolism, physiology, and function.

A Day in the Life of a Research Assistant
- Identify, develop, and implement novel methods and assays based on project needs in collaboration with project team and manager
- Plan, set up and execute experiments, analysis of results, and capacity to build experimental plans based on outcomes
- Cell culture and molecular biology (CRISPR, cloning and transfection, reporter cell line generation, etc.) and expression analysis (RT-PCR, western blot, etc.), set up and run in vitro assays
- Analyse cell cultures by in immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry
- Integrate Scientific, Technology, Quality and Safety and Environment knowledge into business
- Prepare internal written reports, participate, and present in group and department meetings
- Data and sample management and documentation (e.g., SLIMS)
- Guide/train/mentor newcomers to ensure appropriate and fast adaptation to the lab
What will make you successful
- Master's degree level or equivalent in the related scientific field with proven track record
- Up to date knowledge of quality and safety requirements
- Minimum 10 years of R&D experience
- Required experience with presentation of scientific results and discoveries
- Fluent in English
