Head of Packaging Centers Business Unit Printing & Converting (M/F)
In Bobst we have Competence Centers, Packaging Centers and Demo Centers. The Packaging Centers should be a showcase not only leading edge machines and technologies, but also the data value creation, demonstrating the BOBST Connect Platform and all digital BOBST offers.
As the leader of the Packaging Center in Mex and all Demo Centers, Competence Centers and Packaging Centers in BUPC, you will contribute to the success of the activities organized by Marketing, Sales, and Services with the final goal to actively contribute to Market awareness and sales of Bobst machinery.
You will be the main Partner between the Packaging Center and every customer ensuring that high quality and on-schedule results are constantly delivered.
The principle activities are divided into 3 fields:
People Management:
The production site of Mex, near Lausanne in Switzerland, is also the headquarters of the Bobst Group. It is the most important site, employing approx. 1500 passionate people.
It also trains each year roughly 200 apprentices. The site offers an idyllic work environment. In the countryside and close to major highways, it is also well served by public transport. It offers many amenities, such as a corporate restaurant, sports fields, a fitness and a nursery. The facilities have been recently renovated and represent a model for sustainable development.

As the leader of the Packaging Center in Mex and all Demo Centers, Competence Centers and Packaging Centers in BUPC, you will contribute to the success of the activities organized by Marketing, Sales, and Services with the final goal to actively contribute to Market awareness and sales of Bobst machinery.
You will be the main Partner between the Packaging Center and every customer ensuring that high quality and on-schedule results are constantly delivered.
The principle activities are divided into 3 fields:
People Management:
- Leading a team of 12 people coordinating the activities in the packaging center in order to achieve the best results in a dynamic environment
- Assessing Packaging Center project and resource requirements.
- Being an Ambassador of the BOBST Vision by aligning program, content and setup with regional Sales teams regarding the Business Strategic needs
- Ensuring regular trainings of all the Packaging Centers teams accross the Group on market trends and customer expectations
- Yearly Budget and performance planning through monthly tracking of Costs and Performance KPIs.
- Welcoming customers in the Packaging Centers
- Supporting Group Communication in the Packaging Centers Roll Out Projects and ensuring consistent story telling globally.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Broad and well-rounded set of skills and high level of energy. You can see the big picture as well as the specific details, you are flexible and able to scope, structure, analyze and set priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, engineering, or technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience in management in related industry (folding carton or corrugated board)
- Financially literate
- Strong Project and People Management capabilities.
