In our relentless pursuit of excellence, ExcellGene invites a passionate scientist to join our Cell Line Development team to fill the following pivotal role:
This position is permanent and full-time, and to start immediately.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to Head of Cell Line Development, he/she will:
- Perform all laboratory work to generate high-yield cell lines for the production of recombinant therapeutic proteins;
- Plan and perform cell culture activities with suspension-adapted mammalian CHO and HEK cell lines for stable cell line development and optimization;
- Transfect for Transient Gene Expression and Stable Pool Generation;
- Perform single cell cloning;
- Conduct batch and fed-batch cultures in non-instrumented small-scale bioreactors;
- Keep an up-to-date written and electronic record of executed laboratory work;
- Participate in multiple projects simultaneously;
- Provide scientific input and actively contribute to the development and optimization of cell line development methods and processes ;
- Prepare project updates in form of PowerPoint presentation and technical reports;
- Support to Project Team Leader / Program Officer;
- Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and organization (stock of equipment/consumables) in the laboratory environment;
- This position requires regular weekend work.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge in cell culture technologies, including the generation of stable cell lines and proven ability to handle large numbers of cell cultures / samples;
- Hands-on recombinant protein production in mammalian cells (transient and/or stable);
- Good knowledge of protein analytical techniques and results;
- Accurate data analysis and recording to insure full traceability;
- Experience in Cell Line Development, preferred;
- Molecular biology skills, a plus;
- Proficiency of MS Office applications;

- Rigorousness, strong sense of discipline and attention to details;

Mandatory Requirements
- Master Degree in biotechnology, cell biology, molecular biology or related discipline;
- 1-3 years of experience with mammalian cell culture;
- Excellent command of the English language (oral/written), French, a plus.
