About This Job:

As a Business Head Unit, you will co-develop the country's strategic approach for General and Administration and successfully launch and establish Astellas in Ophthalmic in the local country market. You will develop/maintain stakeholder and customer relationships, to drive innovation in both customer and patient access.

It is a brand-new role. You will report to the Country General Manager and will be responsible for creating and growing your team in the future.

You will be part of an inclusive team that works to develop innovative therapies for patients.

Key Activities for this role:

  • Co-develop the Affiliate’s strategic approach for the product, challenging, implementing, and monitoring Commercial plans to ensure a successful launch.
  • Responsible for achievement of sales targets and management to budget in the department, proposing actions to mitigate potential risks and allocate resources/activities to achieve annual and mid-term, financial goals.
  • Work with cross functional partners to bring innovation and novel approaches to this new marketplace - including access strategies, insights/analytics, and customer experience platforms.
  • Adapt and implement Global and Established Brand plans in the local market environment, appropriately deploying promotional resource (salesforce & other channels) to support brand strategies, in consultation with the Global and Established Brand leads.
  • Build a new high performing team, creating a best-in-class team with experience and knowledge of the local market and Therapeutic Area.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in market access or related commercial roles in previous positions.
  • Ophthalmology Therapeutic Area experience is necessary.
  • Extensive experience in establishing and developing new country teams, including successful product launch expertise.

Educations/Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate qualification such as MBA or equivalent.

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per week in our Milan office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
