Geneva English School
French teachers at Geneva English School fulfil a vital role. They take overall responsibility for the French academic and pastoral needs of the children and are the first point of contact for parents about French. They work closely with class teachers, learning assistants and Heads of Department, planning together and sharing ideas. The pupils are streamed into three ability groups during French lessons. Close collaboration is encouraged, and we look for links between different areas of the curriculum. We offer a bespoke MFL curriculum for two of the groups and one group follows a bespoke curriculum based on the Swiss one, adapted to our context and location.
