The Information & Communication Technologies Department (heig-vd.ch/tic) and, specifically, the Reconfigurable & Embedded Digital Systems Institute (reds.heig-vd.ch) are looking for a talented embedded engineer.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated and interested in working with embedded software in a fast evolving research environment to support advanced research. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Implement, document, and unit-test software mainly on ARM /Intel platforms (C/C++)
Follow best practices for software version control and testing
Present technical and analytical status in weekly meetings
Implement, document, and test OS driver (linux, Zephyr)
Contribute to system architecture reviews and integration
Technical lead of junior engineers
Project proposals writing support
Master degree in Telecommunication, Electronics, or Computer Science. Comparable working experience in the field can be judged equivalent. PhD in related domains a plus.
Considerable proven experience in software development
Autonomy, creativity, structured work and good analytical competences
Excellent communication skills; English required, French is an asset
Digital Signal Processing competences an important asset
Participation to innovative projects being part of a team of experts.
