HEIG-VD is looking for an

Engineer in HPC and Machine Learning for embedded systems

The Information & Communication Technologies Department ( heig-vd.ch/tic ) and, specifically, the Reconfigurable & Embedded Digital Systems Institute ( reds.heig-vd.ch ) are looking for a talented engineer in the high performance computing (HPC) and Machine Learning (ML) fields for embedded systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated and interested in working in a fast evolving applied research environment to support advanced research. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks in the context of embedded systems :

Design and implement high performance computing platforms

Work on cutting-edge Machine Learning

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field

Strong interest for embedded systems

Good knowledge of hardware architectures for acceleration of calculations

Strong programming skills in C++ ; CUDA and/or OpenCL is a plus

Good knowledge of Machine Learning and Tensorflow

Autonomy, creativity, structured work, and good analytical competences

Excellent communication skills; English or French required

Activity rate :                     100 %
