?During my 4 years in the Performance Acceleration Team, I have lived in 8 countries on 5 continents, managing up to 20 people per project and have learned Spanish along the way. Additionally, I took advantage of my weekends to visit over 20 countries?


Throughout your assignments:

  • You will develop your Technical and Leadership skills to become a recognized and influential Leader in the organization, able to challenge status quo and think outside the box.

  • You will develop your analytical skills to identify, quantify and present opportunities in capacity increase, flow optimization and cost reduction.

  • You will develop your adaptability, communication and influential skills through interactions with people from Shop Floor to Corporate Senior Management.


Key responsibilities

As a Performance Acceleration Engineer, you will have a local Swiss contract but will be on mission each year, performing projects anywhere in the world.


Each semester is following a similar structure:

  • You will participate in 3 to 4 weeks of Technical and Soft skills training and interaction with Senior Management at Nestlé Corporate Headquarter in Switzerland.

  • While in projects, you will spend the first part understanding business and factory priorities to design the detailed project strategy.

  • Then, you will lead teams of 4 to 6 people to deliver the committed targets. Through this time, you will be actively working with Factory members, Experts from R&D and Corporate teams to fast-track results delivery and build competencies in the factories.


Your Career Path

After 2 to 3 years as a Performance Acceleration Engineer you will be promoted to Project Leader and will additionally be in charge of the full project. From Brief definition with Markets, Zone and Corporate to target validation, you will manage worldwide stakeholders and have 4 to 6 Performance Acceleration Engineers as your direct reports, leading a total team of 16 to 20. After your 4-year assignment, you will have the opportunity to take a managerial role in one of our factories worldwide.



Education and experience required

We are looking for exceptional young leaders with:


  • Master of Science Degree in Engineering (E.g. Process, Food, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering).
  • Min. 2-3 year?s experience in factory environment, in line functions or specialist roles within Production, Quality, Engineering or similar background in consultancy. Preferably in leadership positions leading other people.
  • Ability to successfully lead projects, preferably cross-functional or above the market level projects and coach a multi-functional and/or multi-cultural team.
  • Fluent in English, plus at least 1 or 2 major languages.
  • Strong motivation to travel worldwide and pursue an international career in Manufacturing is necessary.
