As a Private Banker you will be working in the German Speaking Switzerland Team within the bank's Wealth Management in our Zurich office. Eager and motivated to contribute to the team's success.
Your responsibilities include the following:
• Develop and maintain a close and trusting long-term relationship with clients
• Analyse the wealth structure and needs of new clients
• Prepare investment proposals and solutions aligned with clients' goals, assets and chosen investment policy
• Monitor portfolios and provide performance reviews
• Understand the impact economic, monetary and corporate developments have on market/ company/ sector performance. Keep up-to-date with market events
• Execute transactions, payments and other banking operations
• Set up new accounts and follow-up on administrative matters
• Meet prospects and clients. Prepare client meetings and manage follow-up actions
• Maintain close collaboration with Investment Specialists and the Investment Platform to keep up-to-date with investment solutions and guidelines, and contribute to the development and implementation of a best-in-class product offering
• Maintain a strong compliance culture, ensuring optimal compliance and risk management in adherence with all relevant local laws, regulatory requirements, in-house directives and procedures as well as adequate knowledge in order to apply them effectively and ensure fair treatment of all clients, while at the same time, adhering to the mission and core values of Pictet across his/her activities with a high degree of professional competency and awareness.
• Communicate the investment platform's strategy and solutions to clients and prospects.
These entail:
• Full understanding of Pictet's offering, policies and guidelines, attending relevant investment forums and presentations.
• Regular reviews of portfolios to monitor adherence to risk controls, compliance and client constraints.
• Investment of cash positions, review of client transactions and corporate actions.
• Full understanding of attribution of own portfolio performance.
• Developing appropriate marketing material for client communication.
• Knowledge of all available marketing documents and key resources within the Group.
• Client relationship management skills
• Understanding of investments, banking and trust concepts including, but not limited to: asset allocation on structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and loan solutions, basic trust and identification of wealth planning opportunities
• Knowledgeable across asset classes and investment vehicles
• Solutions-oriented and proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
• Ability to demonstrate negotiating skills
• Degree in finance or equivalent qualification
• Ideally a post-graduate degree such as a Master's degree, MBA, CIIA or CFA.
• Highly proficient in standard IT applications as well as Bloomberg and Reuters
• Minimum 5 years of private banking / investment management experience
• Fluent in German and English, French skills are a plus
• Excellent technical knowledge across asset classes and investment vehicles
• Ability to explain portfolio activity and performance to clients.
• Ability to keep abreast of market events and compliance/regulatory practices.
• IT-proficient, including knowledge of relevant software packages, on-line information systems, front-end management and order-placing systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Bloomberg, Avaloq, Profolio, Prime, Pcube, Sylvan, etc.).
• Problem-solving abilities.
